ABOUT US
Enoch Hodge had his first experience in the restaurant business back in the 1970's when he worked in Marigot at the famous Mini Club Restaurant. After Mini Club he worked at the Summit Hotel and later on at the Cupecoy Hotel as Food and Beverage Manager. That was where he gained the knowledge and experience to go out on his own and follow his own vision.
It wasn’t easy. Enoch’s first venture was a food van which was later destroyed by hurricane Luis in 1995. Six months after the hurricane, when things started to pick back up on the island, he opened the now famous Enoch's Place on the waterfront in Marigot. At approximately the same time, Enoch began work on an ambitious new project and on the 19th of December 1997 the Bridge Grill Cafe had its grand opening.
Both restaurants are family owned and operated by Enoch, his wife Bernadette and his daughters Talia and Nadia.
The Bridge Grill Cafe is situated right on the water in Sandy Ground, French Saint Martin, right next to the bridge. There you can find both Local Cuisine and also International Grill (See our Menu). The setting is lovely because of its location right on the lagoon. The Bridge Grill Cafe is one of the largest restaurants on the island and also has a unique open kitchen so you can watch the chefs hard at work.
One of the best times to visit The Bridge is during the Friday Night Buffet which has become one of the most popular attractions on the island. This is an All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet with many different types of creole foods from Salads to Seafood, Meats and Poultry and on to Desserts. The other great thing about Friday nights is the live local entertainment so after you finish eating you can stick around, enjoy some libations, make new friends and dance the night away. |
